ABOUT  CAFÉ SCIENTIFIQUE

The Café Scientifique  groups around the UK  (and a few overseas) are places where, for the price of a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, anyone can come to explore the latest ideas in science and technology. Meetings take place in cafes, bars, restaurants and even theatres, but always outside a traditional academic context.

"The misuse of hormones in sport and leisure"

Prof.Richard Holt, University of Southampton

Prof Holt worked with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) to develop a test for growth hormone  abuse in sport that was introduced for the first time at the London Olympic Games in 2012.

Registration for this talk will open in early September.
